Amethyst
Amethysts are a type of Purple Quartz found in most parts of the world. It’s very popular in Sri Lanka mainly for its striking deep purple colour. The word Amethyst comes from the Greek word Amethustos meaning ‘not drunk’, hence its use as a charm against intoxication.
